Why You Will Fail As An Affiliate Marketer
Over the past few months, I've noticed a lot of people claim that Affiliate Marketers have "secrets" to success and they're not sharing... this is NOT true. Not at all.
Affiliate Marketing is a step by step learning process that starts with the basics and, unfortunately, not many know where to learn the basics. While there are "tips and tricks" to becoming a better Affiliate Marketer, there really aren't any secrets. Secrets are something very few know... yet there are Millions of Affiliates online, and thousands who earn a full time living doing so.
There are a lot ways to learn Affiliate Marketing but few know where the best resources exist. Why is that? Well, to be quite blunt, it's because of the Internet Marketing Gurus who try to scam their customers with hyped up sales letters and very little results from their products. 9 out of 10 Affiliate Marketers will survive the shark infested waters of this business because they were fed lies by these "gurus" who make their full time living by ripping off consumers.
Does this mean that there are not any good resources that exist? No... there's plenty that exist, it's just a lot harder to find them. For example, Affiliit.com or Wealthy Affiliate University are great places to start.
But where does one go to get free training? While there are a lot of great blogs and websites that exist, very few offer real, good, tutorials and advice. Shoemoney, Shawn Collins, Zac Johnson and a few others come to mind as good starting points - but most are simply blogs that talk about themselves or products they promote, or even their friends... be careful of where you spend your quality time at!
As an Affiliate Marketer, I tend to spend most of my time working but I also enjoy helping others. By talking about Affiliate Marketing, I feel that I learn more through each 'conversation' I have with my Blog readers. I try my best to focus on what I have learned and then I blog about it to keep the ideas fresh in my mind. This is something you should do as you continue to learn and experiment with Internet Marketing in general.
From SEO to PPC, write down everything you go through and post about it on your own blog. This will give you the ability to learn more thoroughly and, at the same time, help others. I've seen a lot of Affiliates grow their reader base by doing so... this will also increase your revenue from your blog(s)!
There are a lot of ebooks online that will cost you anywhere from $17 to $97 a pop and most are NOT worth the money. Try to save your money and go check out real books at the local Book Store. Some contain more information than these "secret voodoo" books that pop up each and every day.
Knowledge is power, but make sure you're getting the right knowledge from the right people, otherwise you might just fail.
