I love my tacos and burritos and I'm sure most American's love them too, which is why Mexican food is such a bit staple in the American diet. But I get tired of those Taco Seasoning packages that you find at the Grocery stores. They just have that "too much of something" taste to them. It gets old quickly!
Well, if you agree you might want to try this little recipe to create your own Taco Seasoning. It's much lower in sodium and other additives and has a much fresher taste to it.
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt (I prefer sea salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder (not Garlic Salt!)
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/4 teapsoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Simply add all of these ingredients into a bowl and mix them together well with a fork, wisk or whatever you feel most comfortable with. When you finish mixing them you can add them to a container for use later.
